Description: Here is a very detailed and fine handmade woven basket of wood and some grass at the top woven into the rim. The workmanship is expert, and I do not see anything amiss. The bottom is dyed a light blue, and you can see the inside weave is blue. This leads me to believe it has some age on it and the outside blue must have faded. Otherwise, all-natural color. I bought this from an estate sale in Maine and it was probably made here as we have a long basket tradition here. It measures approximately 10 1/2" high x 8" opening x about 30" girth around the widest part. Ask all questions before bidding please. Unfortunately, I have been scammed by a buyer returning useless garbage from an expensive item I sold her. She filed a full refund and return a few useless pieces of plastic for the expensive jewelry I sold. What a nightmare. So, I must say I reported her to the United States Postal Service (who responded) and both local police and Ebay. Postal fraud is a jail offense along with a fine. This return scam must not be tolerated by any seller. I have taken many more photos of this basket than I have listed so any "flaws" will be challenged. USPS signature required. Too bad us sellers have to go through this.
