Alpenflex i Hachiyo Opt.Co ALPO f3.5/7.5cm Orient ii #539906 ACTUALLY FILM TESTED INTRODUCTION:Alpenflex Type 1 was released by Hachiyo Kogaku in 1953. Hachiyo Kogaku is a manufacturer that was separated from the former Shiojiri factory of Nikon after the war, and it is said that the lenses are made of Nikon materials. That is the selling point of this camera. COSMETIC CONDITION:There is a paint cracks on the metal base of the viewfinder. Other than that, this camera cosmetically in near fine condition. Please examine the listing photos for the overall cosmetic condition of the item. MECHANICAL: This cameras shutter fires in each speeds. The aperture closure moves smoothly, no oil on either aperture or shutter blade. Nob on the top of the shutter lever is missing, but we find no difficulty of releasing the shutter. All other operations work smoothly. OPTICAL CONDITION: Lens is ALPO f/3.5 75mm. View and take lenses are visually clear. No haze, no fog, no balsam separation. We disassembled the lens and cleaned. Condition of middle and rear lens are very fine. We find wiping fine scratch on the surface of the front lens. And there are trace of removing fungus in front lens. Seems that there are no effect of taking pictures. We actually loaded a film and tested it. Please check the image posted. IMPRESSION of USAGE: Method of usage is as follows. Insert the film and wind up the film a littel. Close the back lid and lock them. Open the window of the back lid to see the red window. Wind up the film till you see the number 1 appears in red window. Then, wind the shutter lever, select aperture and shutter speed, focus and take a shot.When you see the camera from front, there will be a shutter charge lever on the left side of take lens, aperture lever on the right, and shutter release lever placed on under the take lens.This camera is very simple to be use.
