Description: Estes Super Alpha Close Clone #3216 1.64 dia. by two feet tall!. Please read the entire description before you buy to be sure you understand what is in (and is not in) this kit. This is what I call a "close clone" because the nose cone is "pointier" than the original and is plastic instead of balsa, but otherwise this kit comes with the same parts as the production kit (EXCEPT DECALS). I personally think the new cone looks pretty sweet - but that may just be me. This is a copy of the discontinued Estes Super-Alpha which was essentially an upscale of the original Alpha in BT-60 tubing. This finished rocket will stand approximately 2 feet tall and flies on "A" through "C" size motors. This kit comes with a link to the original kit instructions but also includes a printed tube marking guide and shock cord mount in case you don't need no stinkin' instructions... This kit does not come with a parachute so you can choose the right size for your field and wind conditions. (A 12-to-18-inch plastic chute works well with this rocket.) This kit does not include decals. Stickershock23.com has an excellent assortment of decals for different Alpha paint schemes, as does CRM on eBay. There are also several early Alpha paint schemes that did not have decals. This is a model rocket kit only and does not include motors, wadding or the launch equipment necessary to fly it.
