Signed and dated 1995 lower right. 13 1/2" x 10 1/2" (with frame 21 1/2" x 18 1/2"). The following is a biography of the artist: Esteban Najarro is a Cuban painter, born in Cienfuegos. He was chosen and received an art scholarship at the Schoolof San Alejandro in Havana where he studied for seven years.He was dedicated and won numerous awards and prizes duringhis years as a student. After he had finished his studies heworked in Havana, participating in many art exhibits.In 1961, Najarro left Cuba and went on a tour of Europe wherehe studied museums and participated in art exhibitions,presenting his work. He had the opportunity to appreciatethe art accumulated over the centuries. Later that year hecame to North America. Najarro had exhibits in Miami andNew York City, where he now lives. His paintings also havebeen presented in a one-man-show on Madison Avenue inNew York at the Charles Barzansky Gallery. The exhibitionevoked an outstanding response from art critics and the publicalike.Najarro follows the school of expressionism in his art. Thiscapable painter, through his fine quality of perseverance,dedicates himself entirely to his work.
