Description: Erte Titled "Stolen Kisses" Limited Edition 256/300. Hand Signed & Numbered Framed and Matted Under Glass with COA. Erte was well known in the 1920's for designing furniture, costumes, and theater sets and was known for his love of fantasy which is depicted in his work. Also known as the father of "Art Deco" he designed hundreds of covers for magazines such as Vogue and Cosmopolitan. His works are in the Smithsonian and Metropolitan Museum of Art. His art saw a resurgence in the 1960's and still remains very collectible today. Erte (Roman de Tirtoff) lived to be 97 years old and passed in 1990.
