The Epiphone 1961 Les Paul SG Standard pays tribute to the legendary original SG. In 1961, the original shape of the Les Paul model was discontinued and replaced with an entirely new design known today as the SG (solid guitar). The two-piece solid mahogany, double-cutaway body is beveled with a custom shop design, and the neck side features a one-piece mahogany, slim taper C-shaped neck profile used in the legendary early Les Paul SG models. With a long pickguard that mimics the specifications of the past, Gibson BurstBucker humbucking pickups wired with CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, a Graph Tech nut, a Switchcraft output jack and toggle switch, it is a perfect finish in both looks and practicality. The tuner knobs use a historic double-ring design. The color is aged classic white. It has all the styling and appearance of the legendary SG, and comes with a vintage-style hardshell case.----- The condition of this particular instrument is in excellent condition, with slight scratches and scratches from playing on the pickguard, but no deep scratches that would detract from the aesthetics.
