It was a put the hole and then it was squeezed with a big ram so it's never gonna come apart looks like preseasoned and not only for tortillas. You definitely have a lot of force with this thing as big and heavy duty as it is. The tortillas are gonna be 8 inches if you make them as big as the press. The handle is 10 inches and it definitely has some torque when you push it down. This is about as good as it gets tortilla presses made in Columbia..
