Cursó estudios de Historia del Arte en la Universidad de la Habana. En 1990 funda Naranja Mecánica, uno de los grupos míticos del rock progresivo en Cuba. Ese mismo año se une como actor y mÚsico a la compañía teatral más importante del país: Teatro Estudio bajo la dirección de Raquel y Vicente Revuelta. En 1995 se exilia en Miami. En el año 2000 crea uno de los portales de Teatro en español más importante: TeatroenMiami.com. Ese mismo año funda la compañía Teatro en Miami junto a su esposa, la actriz y profesora Sandra García.
