It was typically 5¼ to 5½ inches long whereas a demitasse spoon was typically 4¾ inches long, and a teaspoon has typically been 6 inches long. Modern flatware services often include teaspoons and even demitasse spoons, but the 5 o'Clock spoon is gradually disappearing.
