In summer, the inflorescences appear on slender, up to 20 inches (50 cm) long, single-sided cymes. Flowers are pinkish-red with petals tipped with dark yellow. This cultivar's decisive feature is not primarily the red leaf margin near the apex but the 4-to 5- branched inflorescence.
