Description: Description: Early 20th c. 11.5 x 8.25" Gottlieb Theodor Kempf-Hartenkampf Graphite Drawing Drawing depicts girl with two knitting needles at work. Lower right has 1 x 2.5" applied paper with illegible text as well as signature. Gottlieb Theodor Kempf-Hartenkampf (1871-1964) was an Austrian etcher, painter, and illustrator. He was exhibited by the Munich Haus der Kunst and his work is included in the collections of the British Museum. Multiple luxury auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christies have handled his pieces.Approximate Measurements: Drawing is 11 1/2 x 8 1/4," frame measures 14 x 17 1/4." Condition: Excellent, antique condition, as found. Drawing and frame appear to be in wonderful condition for their age however the drawing has not been examined outside of the frame so we cannot determine the condition of the reverse of the drawing, or anything concealed by the matboard.
