EARLY 1866 RUSSWIN 300 MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - 5 3/8" FACE, 2 5/8 BS NICE (19661-2)ONE Vintage RUSSWIN & ERWIN # 300 mortise lock with a brass key, functions perfectly. Patent date of 1866. The lock is reversible, fully restored and we we may have more if you need them, please check with us if you do. Dimensions as follows: FACEPLATE: Heavy steel faceplate with a great patina, measures 5 7/16" long and 7/8" wide and 1/8" thick.. DROP: The drop ( the distance from the center of the knob post hole up to the center of the cylinder lock is 2". BOX: Box is 3 1/4" deep from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box and it is 3 5/8" top to bottom. SCREWS: Screws are on 4 5/8" centers. BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 5/8". KNOB SPINDLE or KNOB SHAFT: The lock is made for a 5/16" square post shaft.KEY: Comes with one key. REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible. Uncommon to find one this old such fine restored condition.
