Description: This is a set of six (6) amazing Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) Water Goblets. It is well established that many EAPG goblets, including these, are of patterns made not by one, tow, but a few different American glasshouses. These are clearly very early because the fine has three twisted wheel seamlines, a feature common to the earliest EAPG glasses. The seamlines are however rather faint, establishing them as originating in one of the producers of better glass in their time. I have hence attributed them to Boston & Sandwich or New England Glass, both fine houses, known to have produced both Sawtooth and Diamond Point patterned glass. The stem here is delightful as it includes a knop with 10 panels, seemless built into a fine glass. The glasses have a height of approximately 6.25" the four inch tall bowl is dominated by 3" of the pineapple texture and the final inch is clear. Fine antique condition with no chips or cracks. They are sturdy and can be used for everyday enjoyment or reserved for more formal occasions, into which they will fit splendidly. Made in the USA. A great resource of information on EAPG is "EARLY AMERICAN PRESSED GLASS", enlarged and revised by Ruth Webb Lee. Lee Publications 1931(et.seq.). Cheers,
