The Story: Los Angeles news anchorwoman Jaime Douglas has it all: a glamorous career on a top-rated news show, a luxurious house in the hills and a secret admirer named Derek. When Jaime rebuffs Derek's romantic advances, he becomes an obsessed stalker who plays out an increasingly psychotic courtship with the frightened newswoman. Comment: Ridiculously beautiful TV news-babe Jamie Douglas (Fairchild) has it all - a career, a big beautiful house (that no TV anchor could ever afford), a devoted boyfriend (Sarrazin). and a psychotic stalker (Derek). Unfortunately for stalker Derek, he's stalking the wrong news-babe. The Seduction got an amazing amount of hype when it was released. TV and print ads were everywhere. . . it was to be the second coming of Marilyn Monroe! This was the film that would propel Morgan Fairchild to heights of Hollywood stardom! But, like stalker Derek, they picked the wrong news-babe. Fairchild was quite beautiful and she looks great in this film. But she can't act. . . she just couldn't pull it off. That the plot was illogical with some truly preposterous twists didn't help a bit. Ms Fairchild promptly returned to doing TV soaps, enjoying a long and productive small-screen career. So, break out the popcorn, pop that tab, sit back and watch Hollywood go off the rails. Per the label, the film has 104 minute running time and is presented in widescreen 2.35:1 format; with English audio.
