Sorry, Dremel changed the body dimensions. Model 3000 has a tapered body and recessed sides. Pretty, but difficult to secure. This Holder has ridges to grab the recessed sides. Ridges are beveled to ease put-on and take-off. Holder is also tapered along the motor axis. It has markings for the CORD end and the CHUCK end. Grabs very well. Also has holes for #8 sheet metal screws. Holes are 3" center to center. Screw it down to a table or a 2x4. You get 1 of the Brown holders show in the photos.
