Description: This is a custom 12" figure of fictional tv character Dr. James Kildare (played by Richard Chamberlain) from the tv series Dr. Kildare. Dr. Kildare was on NBC from 1961-1966. Dr. Kildare was a young intern at Blair General Hospital. The early part of the series dealt with intern Kildare trying to learn his profession, dealing with patients' problems, and trying to earn the respect of senior Dr. Leonard Gillespie. Early stories would deal with the young intern and his fellow medical professionals. By the third season Dr. Kildare is promoted to resident. The series would now focus less on stories of Kildare and his colleagues and more on their patients and their families. This series was excellent and there were many good stories with interesting characters in the series. You can sometimes catch this series on streaming services or channels that show old tv shows.
