This is the devotion originally given by Jesus to Saint Faustina from Poland in the 1930's. THERE ARE ALSO MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF THE CHAPLET IN VARIOUS LANGUAGES THAT ARE ALSO THE SAME AS THESE TWO VERSIONS. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? YOU ARE PROBABLY FAMILIAR WITH THE PORTION OF THE PRAYER THAT IS PRONOUNCED ON THE SMALL BEADS OF THE ROSARY. IT IS KNOWN AS "For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have Mercy on us and on the whole world." THIS VERSION GOES LIKE THIS; "Through the most sorrowful passion of Jesus, have Mercy on us and on the whole world." WHILE BOTH VERSIONS ARE THEOLOGICALLY CORRECT AND IN THE MOST COMMON VERSION THE REFERENCE TO JESUS IS IMPLIED BY "His", THIS OLDER VERSION ACTUALLY MENTIONS THE NAME OF "Jesus" EACH TIME WE PRAY ON THE SMALL BEADS. SO WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT? WE KNOW FROM THE BIBLE THAT EVERY KNEE BOWS AT THE NAME OF JESUS IN HEAVEN, ON EARTH AND UNDER THE EARTH. YES, THIS MEANS ALL DEMONS AND FALLEN ANGELS IN HELL WILL BOW AT HIS HOLY NAME. ALL HELL TREMBLES AT HIS NAME. THEREFORE, IT IS NOT SURPRISING THAT IF THE ENEMIES OF THE CHURCH HAVE ALTERED THIS PRAYER, THEY DID NOT WANT US TO INVOKE THE NAME OF JESUS 50 TIMES EVERY DAY. AFTER ANALYZING DIFFERENT SOURCES AND HISTORICAL RECORDS, WE CONCLUDED THAT IT IS FAR BETTER TO KEEP THE VERSION THAT MENTIONS JESUS BY NAME MAKING THE PRAYER MUCH MORE POWERFUL. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH OUR CONCLUSION PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE OUR HOLY CARDS AS THEY DO NOT CONFORM TO THE MAINSTREAM PRAYER.
