There is a tendency for scanner images to wash out certain colors such as skintones and not pick up silver or gold tones well. I am currently using an iPhone 14 Pro Max with the app "Photoroom Pro" to add innovative backgrounds, providing a stellar image of the actual pin. Please know that as these images are also at very high resolution, flaws, marks, and other imperfections not or barely visible to the human eye may be exposed. Having sold pins for 25 years now, it is nigh impossible to find any pin that I would call "perfect". I also remove the outer plastic wrapper in order to give the images a cleaner line and I return them to the wrapper (assuming they had a wrapper) after taking the image. For those of you that peruse my auctions, a comment on pricing. I look at current and prior completed sales when assessing what price point to list my pins at. To a minimal extent I take my cost into account (after all, the collectibles market is an investment, so values go up and down and I will list a pin near or even under my cost if the market demands this). The biggest factor is rarity, if a pin only comes to market once to several times a year and there are often none of that pin available for sale, I consider those rarities, and will price them accordingly, generally at high values as they are near impossible to replace. Sometimes I wait years to finally attain a certain pin or to replace one I sold. These are the types of pins I consider my specialty as I am ALWAYS on the lookout for something rare, hard to attain, and/or extremely limited. It's a replica of the safety signs that were/are used in the vehicles of the Adventure Through Inner Space and the Haunted Mansion. It's a long horizontal blue bar with silver lettering (scans as black) reading "For Your Safety, Please Remain Seated, Keep your head and arms inside the car at all times." In the upper right corner is a picture of Inner Space's Atomobile. It was reported on May 8, 2001 that this pin was pulled and is no longer being sold. There is a problem with the pin that cast members would not divulge over the phone. It is not known how many of the 3000 pins were actually sold before the pin was pulled. This pin is now considered rare. It is estimated by Tomarts that only 400 of these pins were released prior to being pulled and destroyed due to a lawsuit. Note: This pin is a replica of the blue safety decals found on the omni-movers of the Adventure Thru Inner Space attraction. This attraction was closed in 1986 to be replaced by Star Tours. This pin was pulled from being sold because of a lawsuit involving a guest who was injured on the Haunted Mansion, which uses the same type of ride vehicle as the Adventure Thru Inner Space attraction. It was considered to be in poor taste to release this pin with that lawsuit pending.
