Description: Handmade in Mexico, this Mexican folk art XXL wooden hand is so unique, one-of-a-kind, more detailed than the typical Milagros hand and a beautiful object of devotion. This beautiful sculpture is perfect for a Day of the Dead celebration or Dia de Los Muertos ofrenda. The artist hand carved this wall hanging art from a single piece of wood in the shape of a human shaped right hand and hand painted it matte black. Then, by hand, he cut silver tin to wrap the front, sanded the hand and hand nailed a beautiful 2.4"H sacred heart with cross and sword Milagro. Around the Milagro, the artist embossed (stamped) palm leaves, crescent moons and rays for the symbolic divine light that shines in the darkness. At the bottom and around the edges he stamped lovely crescent moons and a beautiful palm leaf design for fertility, birth and life. He finished this piece with black paint to accent all of the beautiful details. This is a really beautiful handmade Mexican hand and would be a wonderful gift for someone who gave you a helping hand, a hostess gift or a gift for a new family. The back and sides are hand painted black and the artist carved a hole in the back for wall hanging. Measurements:9 inches high by 5.75 inches wide by .8 inches deep. As with all Mexican folk art, any slight imperfection in painting or construction adds to the beauty of this art.
