Light Features: 1) Dome light uses three AAA batteries (not included) that lasts up to 14 hours (see Photo #7). 2) Remote Uses one CR2025 button battery (included) and has a range of 19 feet. The IR remote will need line of sight to the dome of the light. One remote will operate all light unit(s) in the line of sight of the dome(s) as they are all the same IR frequency. 3) Remote control button use from (top to bottom) See Photo #3: a) On or Off at 100% light level b) + or - for ten levels of dimming c) Pre-set light dimming at 10%, 40%, 80%, and 100% light level d) Auto-timer off at 10, 30, 60 or 120 minutes. 4) Also can push light dome, to turn ON and OFF at 100% light level. 5) To replace AAA batteries, turn light base at 30 degrees and pull off (See Photo #6). I'd suggest using rechargeable AAA batteries to save money, and use BluTack removable sticky putty to secure to shelf, and is removable (see Photo # 8 - not included) to make battery changes a snap.
