Description: This old time feed sack quilt is hand stitched and I purchased it in southern Kentucky recently. It measures 71 inches long and 80.5 inches wide. The backing is made of actual feed sacks, from the Douglas Brand of Grand Rapids. It does need some repairs and has some wear and tear. There are several holes which are detailed in the pics. Also, on the backing the maker of this quilt tried to dye the feed sack material and it has color differentials. This quilt would be amazing as a showpiece to your collection as it's unique patches are definitely from someone's wardrobe and not just purchased fabric by the yard. Also, this quilt is heavy and weighs almost 8 pounds! These styles of feed sack quilts are becoming rarer and more difficult to find as this is only the second I've found in a few years. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
