(-) is used if it is at lower end of specific category. (++) is used if it is at higher end of specific category M (Mint): Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (ie contents) are in sealed condition (which exterior can vary - see description)NM (Near Mint): In brand new condition with nominal surface marks and no deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents have been opened and are nearly close to perfect.Ex (Excellent): Shows some signs of being played, light marks, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and /or nominal creasing. VG+ (Very Good Plus): Better than Very Good: Obviously been played but no significant deterioration in sound quality despite some surface marks and light scratches. Some wear and tear on cover and contents, as in corner/edge/ring wear, with names or initials / prices tags on cover. VG (Very Good): Obviously been played many times, some deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and light scratches. Scratches and marks are noticeable, yet record plays without skipping. Cover and contents suffer from more severe peeling or discoloration, entire spine & split seams. Tape on cover that has aged or is obvious. F (Fair): Playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even skip due to scratches and marks . Cover and contents will be severely torn, stained and / or defaced, yet will still house an album.
