Description: On offer what looks like a stamped windowed envelope that appears not to have been used. From wiki the meter used looks like a Pitney Bowes #ESY-CA1.1. 1939 with meter #120127, though the marks look a bit different so it could also be a ESY-CA1.2. Pitney Bowes, 1939. Dated December 2 1947 with what looks like Live Postage of 3 Cents. I'm clearly no expert though, so see pics for details and ask any questions. For condition, this appears to be in good shape as shown - envelope is not torn or opened from what I can tell but there doesn't appear to be anything inside. It was inside a pulp and it may have sealed itself with time, pressure and humidity. W. Lewis and Company was a department store in Champaign Illinois open from 1897 through 1972 with a storied history of its own. Will be shipped in a cardboard 'sandwich' for added protection.
