Description: On December 4, 1936 Panagra inaugurated a "dawn to dusk" flight from Cristobal, Canal Zone to Lima, Peru. As was typical, the mail bag contained covers from Colon, Panama. Colon applied the large circular cachet shown in the scan. With Cristobal Dec. 4 receiver on face and Lima December 5 backstamp. AAMC Catalogue #CZ-94. Not catalogued in the FAM section but the flight is referenced in a note after the listing for FAM 9-77. Uncommon flight. USA only.
