Description: This listing is for Dark Red #1 (Comic Mint "Virgin" Edition B), published by Aftershock Comics in 2019. This comic was rated 9.8 (Near Mint / Mint) by CGC with "White Pages". However, I would not consider it a 9.8 due to stress at the bottom of the spine (see last picture above). I do not know whether there was a very generous grader at CGC or if it was damaged during the encapsulation process or in transit. Because of the spine stress, I have priced it at a discount to the other 9.8s I see on the market now. Newton Rings are also extremely common in newly slabbed CGC books (CGC tried to better protect the books by sandwiching them tighter in the cases, but as a result, a very large portion of newly slabbed books have some degree of rings).
