Custom Hand Made Cigar Box Ashtray - Arturo Fuente Short Story

Description: This is a one-of-a-kind cigar ashtray made from an empty Arturo Fuente Short Story Box. I cut a thin layer from the top and fitted it inside the box, then added a pane of glass to protect the surface while in use. The box is inlaid with genuine Wenge wood—unstained to showcase its natural beauty—and finished with lacquer to enhance and protect the wood grain. If you're unfamiliar with Wenge, I was too at first! Look it up, and you’ll see how remarkable this wood is. The photos don’t quite capture the depth of its grain. This is also the first ashtray where I placed the cigar holders at the corners of the box. It’s a unique feature that adds a bit of flair. I was able to preserve all the original hardware as well. The ashtray is heavy and very sturdy, measuring about 7.5" x 4.75" x 2.25". It’s built to last a lifetime with proper care. Many people end up hanging these as display pieces—they’re almost too nice to use! Each ashtray I make is one of a kind. I never repeat the same combination of design, box size, finish, or inlay, so you're guaranteed something entirely original. It takes me hours to create one, and when you factor in the time and materials, the value far exceeds the price. However, I do it for the love of the craft.
