Details:At 1.5 Qt (L), this casserole is a great size for a family meal. The casserole is made of a glass-ceramic material (pyroceram), the same material which is used to make Corning Ware, only made transparent for Vision. This allows you to see what is going on as it's cooking or baking. It retains heat well and makes serving a lot easier as it stays hot longer. It's totally nonporous and will not retain odors or stain. With all this, it is also beautiful with the simple ribbed design on the casserole pan itself and a fluted rim around the lid handle.
