CORBIN #1365 1/2 MORTISE LOCK w/KEY 6 1/8" NICKEL PLATED BRASS FACE w/KEY, RESTORED (40736) Vintage, P.F. CORBIN, circa 1910-1935 #1365 1/2 mortise lock with key, shown in the their 1927 catalog. It was generally used for interior doors but also sometimes for exterior doors. Very well built and heavy duty lock. If your house has Corbin 1365 locks, you are living a house that was very high end in 1920-1930! FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a brass face plate length of 6 3/16" and a width of 1 1/16" and thickness of 1/8". (One of the two locks we have available and fully restored has a Japanned finish on the brass face, the other is simply aged brass.) BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 3/4". BOX: The box measures 3 1/2" from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box. The box measures 4 1/4" top to bottom.DROP: The drop (the distance from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the key slot) is 2 5/8".
