Very Nice Coors Pottery Golden Colorado Vase. This features a satin matte finish in yellow. It has a bulbous body with a long neck and flared rim. For more information See picture #9. Coors ware was made by the Coors Porcelain Company of Golden, Colorado, a company founded with the help of the Coors Brewing Company. Its founder, John Herold, started the Herold China and Pottery Company in 1910 on the site of a glassworks owned by Adolph Coors, the founder of the Coors brewery. The company began making art pottery using clay from nearby mines. Adolph Coors Company bought Herold China and Pottery Company in 1915. Chemical porcelains were made beginning in 1915. The company name was changed in 1920, when Herold left. This measures 8 3/4" High x 2 3/8" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Vase.
