Description: Offered is this complete set of 12 issues of "Railroad" magazine for the year 1942, one per month. There are numerous articles covering all aspects of trains and railroads in each issue, with some focusing on World War II, as well as some railroad-based fiction. There are many black and white illustrations and photos, and many ads for products of the period, such as Pepsi Cola, Eveready Batteries, Gillette and Lionel model trains. The back cover ads are in full or partial color. Each magazine is approx. 9" x 6 1/2" and all have approx. 150 or so pages. They range in condition from fair to good. Some have substantial cover wear, with the November issue in the worst condition, with the back detached (but present) and heavy spine wear. Almost all of the pages are intact and well-attached to the covers, but a few are loose and a few have small edge tears. They have yellowed and there is the occasional small spot and stain but they are otherwise generally clean and clear. Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
