Description: A vintage Cobra 142 GTL base station CB radio that powers up and receives on AM and SSB. All adjustments appear to work properly. This radio is being sold for parts due to both of the meters not working. **The Astatic microphone is not included in this listing.**These meters light up but do not move at all no matter how strong the transmit or signal received is. This radio has three extra switches on the back that are not on other examples of this model, they are likely modifications and in the photos the image of the bottom of the main circuit board shows what areas they are attached to. The frequency counter appears to work very well and shows the frequency of each channel when the channel is changed. I checked the channel frequencies for CB and found that the meter is showing the radio to be on channel or one to two numbers off on the third decimal place. I have been unable to verify transmission power due to a lack of a working meter on the machine and no external one available. Due to the age of this unit, lack of complete testing and parts swappers this item is being sold for parts only with no returns available.
