Read Inspector U.S. Sanitary Commission, expressing thanks for the work of the Commission in providing aid and supplies to the officers and soldiers, and a second letter from Major-General William S Rosecrans, Commander of the Dept of the Cumberland, Murfreesboro, Fen 2, 1863 praising the generous work and efforts of the Commission on the men's behalf for the large amounts of supplies distributed, essential for the recovery of the soldiers since the Battle of Stone's River. 1p 8 x 11" ptd.
