The Furlough is signed by Surgeon William C Otterson in Charge of US General Hospital, Nashville. The reverse note states Private Randolph is a Hospital Attendant and recommended for furlough for faithful discharge of his duties and for good conduct and signed again by Surgeons Otterson & Clendenin and is approved by order of Major General Thomas and signed by Brigadier General Robert S Granger as Nashville Post Commander. with stamps approving transport to and from Nashville. 1p 8 x 11" ptd/ink.
