Description: Chinese Porcelain Vase Famille Rose 9 Peach Flowers 20.75" Tall 20th C. Qianlong Description and Item Information Up for sale is this large, vintage Chinese porcelain vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This beautiful vase stands approximately 20 3/4 inches tall, and it has a maximum diameter of about 14 7/8 inches. Unpacked, it weighs approximately 20 1/2 pounds. This vase has a white background with multicolored decoration in the famille rose palette. Decoration includes nine peaches, with branches, leaves, and blossoms. There is nice shading on the fruits. This floor vase would be an impressive addition to a collection of Asian decorative arts. Identification This vase is a vintage Chinese piece. The exact age is not known, but it is believed to be circa 20th century. It has a red, six character mark beneath, as shown; part of the mark is worn off, and it is somewhat blurry, but it looks to be an honorific Qianlong type mark. Condition The vase looks very good, as shown. The porcelain has no chips or cracks. It has minor glaze finish wear, and there are some fine, scattered scratches here or there. There are some scattered, small, dark smudge or scuff marks that I have not tried to remove. Variations in glaze application are as made. There is rippled glaze texture to the bottom and lower sides of the vase. As made, there are minor glaze flaws, including a small bit of blue glaze on the side and other small areas of colored glaze where perhaps they should not be.
