Description: A lifelong collection of rare world coins and artifacts gathered from travels to over 100 countries, Sedgwick online auctions, antiquing, eBay, finds, and trades. While I had never planned to sell this collection of mostly authentic pirate themed swag and booty, my cancer bills are piling up. It’s best to sell most of this stuff individually, however being a pirate at heart, I always dream of finding treasure in the Robert Louis Stevenson form: A chest. Historically, when pirated treasure was found on the ocean floor it often included an array of world artifacts, exactly like this auction. The chests aside, (made out if pure steel), were always rusted away. This auction is what one could find if it was not rusted away. This authentic Spanish Armada chest, with the working key, is out of a museum in London England, and is an exact match of the only authenticated pirate chest located at the Pirate Museum in St. Augustine Fl. It’s from the 1600’s, and was made in Nuremberg Germany. These were often used by the Spanish to transport booty. It’s now filled with hundreds of silver and gold coins, rare conch pearls from Harbour Island, Bahamas, very rare authentic pirate shipwreck coins from the famous Lacuyan beach pirate ship wreck, atocha jewels, antique pots, shipwreck pots, an antique Roman sword from Israel, a cannonball, numerous odd coins, a special bottle #3 of the famous Pin Drop Rum, a rare antique French copy of Treasure Island, Jack Rackhams jacket from Black Sails, and among many other oddities, an authentic set of bone & leather Pirates Dice we can play upon delivery. This is all entered into the original Manifest also from the TV series Black Sails, also included in the auction. Iv been a pirate at heart my entire life, owning a 65’ pirate ship, trading in coins and conch pearls, owning a Pirate themed property in the Bahamas, a large collection of Treasure Island books, and a very fun collection of dozens of swords from around the world. That last collection has got me into a lot of trouble! Im sorry for the length of this auction description but the story holds value and me holds are bursting! I guarantee the majority of items, especially the conch pearls, and all gold coins, 1/2, & 1 Reales are all authentic, and are mostly from the 1700’s, the golden age of piracy.
