Description: Original copper and Bakelite Art Deco "bubble" style cigarette holder made by Chase in the late 1930's. This stylish art metal holder consists of a bubble-like copper bowl mounted to a square copper base that is topped by an orange colored Bakelite plate. The underside is inscribed "CHASE - U.S.A." with its Centaur logo, and the single mounting screw is in the middle. It measures 3" tall by 3.5" wide on a 3" square base, and weighs just under .5 lb. The opening for cigarettes is 2.5" in diameter by 2.75" deep. A beautiful vintage piece for your Art Deco or Modernist decor by the legendary Chase Brass & Copper Company.
