Description: WELCOME BEAR CHAINSAW CARVING Approximate Dimensions: Overall Height: 33 inches (27 inch bear on 6 inch stump) Diameter: 8.5 inches Weight: 48 pounds This bear was carved with a chainsaw and finished with sanders, grinders, etc. The carving was then torched or burned for a natural color and sealed with several coats of a high quality outdoor spar urethane. Spar Urethane allows for a flexible UV protective finish. Because it remains flexible, it will not peel like some varnishes or polyurethanes. The natural wood grain of the carving is visible. An additional coat of spar urethane can be added every couple years to renew the finish of the carving and bring it back to like new condition. If left indoors, this is not required. Please note that each log is unique. It is natural for a wooden log carving to crack or check as it dries or seasons, which adds to the uniqueness of the piece. WELCOME sign is engraved and hand painted. Makes for some unique rustic décor. For indoor or outdoor. Perfect size for placing at your front door, porch, deck, etc. Also makes for a wonderful gift.
