All of the text on the spine and front cover is still very vibrant and easily read. The outer spine shows tearing up and down with some marr to the legibility. The inside front cover is inscribed with a cursive inscription of ownership from May of 1939. There is no separation to the binding. The page edging is in great condition. There are no missing or torn pages. There is also no further indication of writing, marking or highlighting. As a book of the 1800’s the typeset is uniform and printed onto thinner slightly glossy pages. Throughout the book there are small specks or dots of ink where the typesetting had extra ink bled onto the page.
