Description: Cemetery 2 Diorama Base Jean-Louis Crinon 1991 - Early Rare Resin Model Janus Kit "I think that to create a base for a character is like drinking a fine wine with a good cheese. One compliments the other." John-Louis Crinon said this back in 1991 when profiled in Terry Webb's second "Garage Kit that ate my Wallet" book, explaining his passion for designing a series of resin model display bases. Here’s one of those terrific Crinon bases: Cemetery 2, a perfectly roto-cast resin model re-released in 1997 by Janus Company of Texas. Rewind 30+ years, and many of the finest figures in the garage kit hobby were merely that: figures lacking a themed environment to display them upon. Soon, certain producers began offering themed bases for figure kits, with Jean-Louis Crinon creating some of the most noteworthy display bases of the era. We’re showing a photo of the Cemetery 2 base with Mickey and Mallory’s Grimsdyke zombie to give you an idea of the base in use. (Naturally, many a model figure could be placed in the Cemetery... perhaps two.) Janus’ Cemetery has the main section roto-cast in hollow off-white resin: thick-walled, sturdy, and with a vent hole drilled in the underside. The three tombstones are cast solid resin. This one has been lightly sprayed with a gray primer by its original owner. The primary base section is 6” tall, and fully assembled with the tombstones in place, the Cemetery 2 base measures 13” tall x 14” wide x 11” deep. Long lost in the garage kit graveyard, Crinon's Cemetery 2 model is offered here complete, unbuilt, and primed, waiting for that special figure of yours that needs a proper home. Please note that this is an original garage kit, not a recast. Sassy's Satellite caters to the true kit collectors worldwide, always offering only original garage kits, never recast kits, whether unbuilt models or professionally assembled & finished items. We are ethically opposed to recasting within the hobby and only deal in authentic original garage kits. S&H: USA: FREE. Canada: $56. Europe: $76. Elsewhere: $86.
