It did take longer than the 4 hours stated to build it. I would say the perfect age for this swing set may be between 3 and 4, this may be too small for older kids. My 3 year old loves it, she loves doodling in the built in black board. It would have been nice if they included a swing for babies. The assembler needs to confirm the orientation of the wood pieces as they are assembled to be sure of right/left and front/back. The value of the kit is excellent for younger children. It is also important to prepare the ground with cedar wood chips or similar according to the instructions. Our 5 little ones, ages 15 mths to 6 years are thrilled with the new swing set!Great swingset for younger kids10 Jul 20I wanted something to keep my 4 yr old enteratined since he cannot go to the playground during the pandemic but did not want to spend a fortune or take up too much space. This is perfect, so long as you are aware it is not all that big. However, it is fine for my 4 yrd old and will most likely be fine for the next 1-2 summers. I think it would be too small for anyone over 6. It is well made and we had it professionally assembled (which cost about as much as the swingset) but unlss you are very handy you will need help with assebly.
