Description: Up for sale is a vintage hand crafted Crewel Embroidery Picture. It is just a charming composition of Hibiscus. This is from the Elsa Williams Collection and based on the kit number #0488. it dates to the late 1970s. The title is Circle Floral designed by Carmel Floret. In the pictures the fabric looks wavy but that is due to the camera. There is no wavyness in the picture. It will look exactly like the embroidery picture on the kit. The size is 12 x 12 and the embroidery is done on grey linen fabric and mounted onto plywood backing. The label on the back indicates that this model was done in Haiti. This hand crafted samples was done on 100% linen fabric with 100% Elsa Williams Paternanyan 100% wool crewel yarns. Pictured in this listing is a kit for this crewel embroidery for illustration purposes only (not included for sale). The picture of the original kit and packaging for this embroidery shows how the finished item looks after it is matted and framed. Included in this sale is the finished crewel floral design mounted to plywood which is ready for a mat and to be framed by the buyer. It does not include the original kit mat or frame This would have been a sample which would have been on display to show prospective buyers how the kit will look when finished.
