Description: Carl Thieme Dresden Hand Painted Battle Scene Reticulated Oval Dish Circa 1891-1901 Beautiful porcelain reticulated oval dish. Nicely hand painted with two men on horses battling. One is pointing a gun at the other. There is a windmill and another rider in the background. Has small hand painted flowers around the scene in red, purple, blue and yellow. Gold gilded highlights to the reticulated edge. Marked on the bottom with a T over an X/crossed mark. This mark was used by Carl Thieme in Dresden between 1891 and 1901. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 1/4 inches long x 6 3/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
