Description: This is an early French Silver or Billon Sou Marquee with a 1640 counterstamp in Fair condition. This coin is creased and bent with basically no design left on one side and just some Fleur de Lis and a crown with the counterstamp below, on the other side. To make this early piece even more interesting, was it was found in Virginia. You could probably speculate for hours how it got there. Definitely intriguing. Should be a great value at our low opening bid that includes postage. Please see the photos to judge the condition of the item. FREE SHIPPING, INSURANCE & DELIVERY CONFIRMATION! I will accept payment from U.S. bidders only. Please send payment within 7 days of the auction ending. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item to me (if multiple items are in an auction, the entire group must be returned) within 14 days for a full refund (buyer will be responsible for the return postage). As I send all items insured with delivery confirmation, I ask that any returns be insured with delivery confirmation as well.
