Description: Small cadoceras ammonite from the Kellaways Rock, Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire. UK. Approximately 165 million years old. This specimen is a nice little complete cadoceras. The entire fossil is preserved in mudstone. One side of the ammonite still has matrix in the center. These ammonites have very deep centers, so sometimes the matrix is kept on one side in order to ensure that a hole isn’t punched through at preparation if there are questions about preservation. This specimen would make a great addition to someone’s collection who is looking for a Jurassic curiosity. The ammonite is 2.5” tall and 2” wide. This is the exact specimen you will receive and it will be well packaged and posted within 48 hours of payment. Please message with questions.Thank you for looking.
