Description: Antique advertising match safe/stamp box " Compliments of Friedheim's Vienna Cafe & Lunch Parlor. 19W Houston St. New York." The top inside is marked "Keep Your Stamps Here" and "Patented Oct 11, 1892". It is about 2 3/4" long x 1 5/8" wide x 1/2" high. It is in very good used condition. There is no damage. The silver plate is worn on the back commensurate with use (see picture #4). The inside match storage area is discolored on the right side where the matchheads where likely positioned (see pictures #5 & #6). The top of the stamp area closes properly/securely. The top slides freely to the left (and stops halfway) to expose match storage area. This piece displays very well. Regarding combined shipping. In most cases, several pieces can be shipped in a single box. When this occurs, I will credit the purchaser's account any shipping difference. In-other-words, I charge exact shipping for same time multiple purchases. I cannot issue these credits until I've purchased the postage so it may take a day or two. I do this often. I have never had a discrepancy complaint. My customers are in very good hands. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, especially photo related ones.
