Bultaco 360/370 Wiseco 90 mm Piston

Description: This is a recently made custom forged piston designed for increased power in the Bultaco 360/370 motor. Includes the latest two stroke technology in improved tensile strength, piston rings, and coatings. Wiseco's Armor Plating coating protects the piston crown from detonation, enhances ring seal for long life and performance, protects the pin bore, and reduces pin friction. Piston weight is 342 grams, lighter than the original 85 mm Mahle piston. The modern semi keystone rings are made in Japan for a Honda CR 500. Ring gap location pins are 3.1 inches apart on the intake side, which places them centered on the smaller rear transfer port. Due to the drop in cylinder pressure at that stage of the stroke, this is not a problem for today's hardened, low tension rings as long as the port is chamfered. Piston transfer openings are offset for alignment with the cylinder liner at 90 mm. Opening for bearing and spacers is 1.190 inches wide. This piston will fit all 360/370 motors, Pursang, Frontera, and Astro, models 136-220, piston port and reed valve (reed valve motors will need holes cut in intake skirt). They have a 95 mm outside diameter of the cylinder liner. This leaves 2.5 mm cylinder wall thickness, 2 mm is recognized as the safe minimum by Wiseco, and Millennium Technologies. From 85 mm (363 cc) to 90 mm (408 cc) increases compression ratio and displacement by 11%, with a corresponding increase in low and mid range torque.
