Description: BUDDY EBSEN (1908-2003) He began as dancer in the late 20's in a Broadway Chorus. He later formed a Vaudeville act with his sister Vilma, which also appeared on Broadway. He was originally cast as the 'Scarecrow' in the "Wizard Of Oz" (1939), traded with Ray Bolger to play the 'Tin Man', but was forced to vacate the role due to health reasons.
