Description: It is a Buckeye metal clarinet. Made in the USA. The serial number E8401 is stamped on the top of the body. If someone can tell me who made it, I'd appreciate it. I'm guessing it's from about the 1930s or 1940s, the heyday of metal clarinets. Cosmetically, it is tarnished. "Buckeye, Made in U.S.A" is stamped on the front of the bell. The mouthpiece looks pretty good, but there are a few scuffs and scrapes on it. No cracks. Functionally, the key mechanisms work. Some of the pads are in poor condition. It comes with a metal mouthpiece cap and ligature, reeds and a reed case, a sheet music lyre. It comes in a hard case. The case handle, latches, and hinges all work. It's a good old All-American instrument that just needs some TLC (some new pads) to bring it back to full musical life.
