The Tea Cup has black trim and also features a transfer of a woman and child. Bowl presents as excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing or restoration.Tea Cup has very slight loss to black trim at top and tiny loss to glaze on handle.Please see Photos. Bat printing is a form of early transferware using a thin slab of gelatin; a mode of printing on glazed ware by transferring the impression from the engraving to the ware on a thin slab of gelatin with the impression being taken in varnish and dusted with color after transfer.It declined in use at about 1820 when other forms of transfers were found.
