Description: Bowie / Hunter Knife in Sheath 5.5" Blade / 10.5" length overall Handmade? NICEESTATE FIND PLEASE READ: I am sorry to say that I do not know very much (hardly anything) about collectible or sporting knives. When I acquired these I was told that they were found in a trunk in rural Pennsylvania and had belonged to a knife maker and collector. They stated that he made the blades and handles of many of his knives but I don't know one from another. They further said that he used high grade stainless steel for the blades, wood or bone for the handles and have no clue as to where the sheaths came from. I will describe them to the best of my ability but please look at my images and decide for yourself what value you feel the knife is worth and then bid accordingly. The blade is solid and sharp. The handle and sheath are beautifully made. There is some patina on the blade. On the back of the sheath there is a name and a 10 digit number scratched into it. Also the sheath snap is torn.
